Walk Towards Nature and Embrace Yangmingshan: The "Blue Dye Eco Tour"

Many visitors to Yangmingshan National Park have been to

Jingshan Road
and
Pingjing Street
; there is the Dingjingque, Zhongjingque and the Xiajingque along the path from Qingtian Temple to Miantianping. The "jing" in all of these places refers to Dajing, a plant that was introduced to Taiwan's North in the 19th century for the production of blue dyes. The plant was cultivated widely in Yangmingshan's valleys.

Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters designed the "Blue-dye Eco Tour" route which includes natural and cultural characteristics and views. We invite you to join in the experience. This event will be hosted on two dates, August 10 and August 17. Anyone who is interested in Taiwan's blue-dye culture and industry, and/or the natural ecology of the area is welcome to join. Registration is at Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters website (http://eip.ymsnp.gov.tw/web/system/apply6/) and continues until all places are filled. Each participant must pay a registration fee of NT$1,000.
