Diamond-Grade Green Architecture: Construction begins for the Taijiang National Park Headquarters’ Administration and Visitor Center

The groundbreaking ceremony for the “Taijiang National Park Headquarters’ Administration and Visitor Center” was held by the Taijiang National Park Administration Office on November 24, 2013. Bio architecture Formosana, the well-known design team, was invited to design the structure, which will provide the park with both an administrative office and a tourist and environmental education center. It will serve as a multifunctional site suitable for international meetings and local produce promotion and sales, as well as a center where visitors will be able to experience and better understand the wetlands.

In addition, since Taijiang National Park is located at the juncture of a river and the sea, floating houses will be built on the successful example in disaster and flood prevention provided by the Netherlands. It is hoped that these houses will not only serve as educational schools for Taijiang National Park through their preservation of traditional tribal features, but also that they will set a good educational example for Taijiang housing.
