“Reading Yangmingshan” : Fourteen Environmental Education Courses Presented on November 30th in a Milestone of Environmental Education
To offer a more systematic educational environment and garner more public participation, Yangmingshan National Park implemented its plan for “Professional Environmental Education Instruction and Innovative Course Planning and Implementation.” A presentation of the plan’s results will be held on November 30th, where fourteen “Reading Yangmingshan” environmental education courses will be presented and an award ceremony for lesson plans will be held. The event marks a new milestone in environmental education.
The presentation will begin at the Taipei City Teachers' In-Service Education Center at 9:00 a.m. on November 30. More than one hundred environmental education teachers and volunteers are expected to attend. The fourteen environmental education courses to be presented at the event are designed to meet the needs of seven target age groups, namely elementary school (one group each for grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6), junior high school, senior high school, teachers, and agencies. Courses will incorporate the resources and features of Yangmingshan National Park as well as environmental education content. It will be a lively and fulfilling opportunity for environmental study.
