As Chinese New Year approaches, everyone is busy cleaning house to prepare for new year celebrations. The Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior, will host a “Spring Festival Couplets for the Year of the Horse” event in the hallway of the Visitor Service Center, Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park, on Sunday, January 19.

Six calligraphers (Prof. Cao Zuoqing, Mr. Lui Deshan, Mr. Guo Jitai, Mr. Chang Shande, Mr. Liu Guangyuan, and Mr. Gu Jingyuan) will be invited to write spring festival couplets for the activity. The spring festival couplets will be given to participants free of charge. Participants should show up on the day of the event and wait in line to register. The calligraphy writing activity will take place from 9 am to 12 pm. Only 150 spring festival couplets will be given away, limited to one scroll per person.
