During World Earth Day on April 20th, Shei-Pa National ParkHeadquarters invited a total of 70 volunteers from last year, fans, and newlyrecruited volunteersto return to Erbensong to see the growth of apple treesplanted last year, and carry out weeding, fertilization, and loosen the soil. Everyoneworked in the embrace of nature, experiencing nature while learning how toco-exist with it. They learned the importance of environmental education and sustainableuse of natural resources through volunteer work rehabilitating Taiwan’s appletrees. At the end, they took an oath to protect the triangle of happiness “people,land, and all things,” and declared that they will “plant trees and protect theforest, conserve energy and reduce carbon, ecological and environmentalprotection, and cherish earth.”
