Kinmen National Park Headquarters removed illegal buildings on thestate-owned land at Land No.218-1, Guta Section, Jincheng Township to maintainthe overall appearance and recreation quality of Wentai Stone Tower. Theillegal structures occupied state-owned land without any rightful claim andwere located in a historical site preservation area. The builder of the illegalbuildings (iron houses) sold specialty products in the buildings. Aftercommunicating with the builder several times, hoping that the builder willdemolish the building, and visiting Mayor Shih of Jincheng Township, Mayor Shihagreed to help the builder relocate his booth to the legal booth area underWentai Stone Tower. However, the builder did not agree, and Kinmen CountyPolice Bureau Jincheng Branch and Kinmen National Park Branch removed thebuilding in the morning of May 15th, 2014 to maintain the overallappearance and recreation quality of the historical site.
