You are Invited to Participate in the 2014 Taichung Metropolitan Park “Guarding Dadu Mountain” Activity Series
Taichung Metropolitan Park began organizing the Purple Crow ButterflySeason every April-June since 2006 in light of purple crow butterfliesreturning north. A series of purple crow butterfly conservation andenvironmental protection activities are held in the park during the event, andpersonnel actively promoted ecological preservation on campuses. Afterenvironmental education facilities of Taichung Metropolitan Park passed thecertification in 2012, the park shouldered the responsibility of promoting ecologicalconservation and environmental education. This year the park will expand the “PurpleCrow Butterfly Season” into the “Guarding Dadu Mountain” activity series, whichwill bring together community residents to participate in habitat conservationand native vegetation restoration, so as to provide an environment for purplecrow butterflies and species to survive in. The activity series will buildconservation concepts among citizens and aim to achieve sustainability ofnatural resources.
