To promote nationwide mountain climbing and outdoor learning, Yangmingshan National Park Administration will host a New Year’s Day Climbing Qixing Mountain event. All are invited to explore Qixing Mountain, the highest peak in Taipei on January 1, 2015. Yangmingshan National Park is the best site for volcano environmental education in Taiwan. The park has devoted to the preservation of natural ecology and actively promoted environmental education and natural and healthy leisure activities. It is hoped that public participation will help boost the park administration’s capacity and energy to do more in environmental education. This activity starts from the main visitor center, passing the Qixing Park fork to reach the peak of Qixing Mountain, and it ends at the visitor service station at Xiaoyoudeng for a distance of 4.5 kilometers. All are invited. The route is scenic, so we believe that participants will enjoy the natural serenity and fresh air along the way and will have a favorable impression of the outing.
