Chinese New Year Holiday February 20-22 (2nd to 4th day of Chinese New Year) Taroko National Park Facilities Will Open Early and Close Late
During Chinese New Year 2015, in coordination with the operation of a free park shuttle bus service, Taroko National Park Headquarters will provide value-added services; the visitor center and service stations will be closed on February 18 (Chinese New Year’s Eve) but will open earlier and close later than usual February 20-22 (2nd to 4th day of Chinese New Year); Taroko National Park Visitor Center will open at 07:00 am and close at 18:00 during this period; Buluowan Service Station will open at 07:30am and close at 17:30; Tianxiang Service Station, Lushui Exhibition Hall and Mt. Hehuan Service Station will open at 08:00 and close at 17:00. Also, on February 23 (5th day of Chinese New Year), the Taroko Tribal Music Festival and Taroko Chinese New Year Creative fair will be held in the square outside the visitor center, presenting performances of traditional Taroko tribal song and dance performed by local community groups as well as exhibiting and selling woven cloth, machetes, rattan woven items and other traditional handicrafts. The park HQ will also mobilize staff and volunteers to provide service to visitors and accompany them during the happy festival holiday.
