Kinmen National Park Headquarters has scheduled the opening ceremony of W27 Military Base for February 11th, 2015, and hopes that the battlefield remains will become an important tourism resource that will drive the development of tourism in Kinmen. W27 Military Base was an important base of defense operations during early periods. It has retained important features of a battlefield stronghold in Kinmen. Kinmen National Park specially planned the renovation of W27 Military Base that will retain its original appearance, using artistic and creative methods to illustrate the troops garrisoned there in the past, hoping that visitors who once served at the base or are visiting for the first time to relive and feel the memories that were made here. This is a place that will attract visitors to stop and admire the view. The base is adjacent to the coastline and has a large clean beach, making it excellent for place to watch the ocean and its scenery. The park headquarters hopes to inject new life into the military base and set an example of the revitalization and reuse of military remains.
