Let’s visit Taroko National Park during spring
Have you ever spent the night in Taroko National Park? Have you ever traveled in-depth to Taroko National Park? Do you want to personally explore the mountain villages along the Central Cross-island Highway–Loshao and Xibao settlements? Taroko National Park Headquarters has decided to continue organizing the “Taroko mini travel activity series” during spring. The theme-based environmental education activities feature local features and are jointly offered with private organizations and community resources along the Central Cross-island Highway. In the two day Taroko mini travel, visitors can see the Taroko canyon and hiking trail under the guidance of a national park interpreter. Local will also bring visitors deep into their communities. Follow farmers of Xibao settlement to see their organic farms and listen to their stories of hardships of organic farming. Or go deep into middle altitude areas of the Central Cross-island Highway, and listen to locals of the Loshao settlement tell stories of how the highway was built; experience the romance and challenges of living in the mountains by visiting residents. You are welcome to register for experiential activities like DIY and tasting local specialty meals.
