Registration for the 2015 “Season of Migrant Birds, We Watch the Stars Together” of Taijiang National Park Headquarters has begun!

Taijiang National Park Headquarters is working with Tainan Astronomical Education Area during the migrant bird season to provide an opportunity for an intellectual and sensual experience of nature, allowing citizens to understand the precious resources of national parks. The headquarters hopes that visitors will cherish the light and air pollution-free environment for watching stars, and to convey conservation concepts of national parks. The 2015 event will be held in 2 batches, the first will be on April 11th, during which participants will take a rubber raft to see Sicao Lake, learn about mangrove ecology and the local farming industry, and visit Tainan Astronomical Education Area. The second batch will be on April 26th at Liuko Station and Black-faced Spoonbill Watching Pavilion. The interpreter will introduce outdoor fish farm ecology, and introduce lagoon ecology and local industries as the sun sets over the surface of Qigu Lagoon. At night, an interpreter from Tainan Astronomical Education Area will introduce participants to the stars in the sky. Anyone interested in ecological observation and astronomical exploration is welcome to participate in the event. Please see the website of Taijiang National Park for details on the event.
