Kinmen National Park Headquarters signed MOUs with Jinning Township Guningtou Community Development Association, Jincheng Township Oucuo Community Development Association, Hufeng Public Affairs Association, and Jinning Township Hufeng Community Development Association in 2015 to carry out beach sweeps at Guningtou estuary, Oucuo, Citi Beach, and Cihu Lake Beach, and has effectively created a beautiful living environment. Kinmen National Park Headquarters indicated that 207 persons have been mobilized in communities this year (2015) to clean roughly 1,075 kg of floating trash, communities are not only partners in maintaining clean beaches, but also help the public understand the importance of environmental education. Voluntary participation of communities has made the environment better and increased interactions with the headquarters, and has been quite successful over the years.
