Experience the joy of carrying fish on an ancient trail with flying awn!
“Wind in grass mountain, rain in Jhuzihhu and the Jinbaoli boulevard” is a Taiwanese saying that describes the climate and culture of Yangmingshan. When you are on Jinbaoli boulevard, which is also known as the Yulu Ancient Trail (literally means the road of fish), you are bound to see beautiful scenery regardless of whether it is sunny, cloudy or rainy, especially during autumn with flying awn, when countless visitors are attracted here and reluctant to leave. The event starts out from Shanhuangxi Parking Lot, participants can experience the hardship of predecessors carrying fish uphill through the night. Along the trail are numerous cultural remains, including ceramic pipes for carrying white clay, Syuyan Bridge, DaluBiantian. This trail is not only rich with culture and history, but also has diverse geology and plant ecology. The detailed descriptions provided by interpreters and experience activities will surely give you a more in-depth understanding of Yangmingshan. Online registration for the event will begin at 9:00 A.M. on October 6th (Tuesday), registration fee is NT$700, and only 50 applicants will be accepted to each batch; dates of the event are October 17th (Saturday), October 23rd (Friday) and October 24th (Saturday).
