Kinmen National Park Anti-Corruption Volunteers Support Promotional Event Against Corruption Practices –“Shangri-La for Bicycles”
Anti-corruption volunteers of Kinmen National Park organized a promotional event against corruption practices in Zhongshan Forest on November 14th, 2015 in coordination with the “2015 Shangri-La for Bicycles”. Director-General Hsieh Wei-Song of Kinmen National Park Headquarters indicated that building a corruption-free government and eliminating corruption practices is a major feat of political engineering that the society longs for. The government has continuously made changes and required employees to abide by the “Integrity and Ethics Directions for Civil Servants”to prevent corruption and waste, and prohibited lobbying and gift giving. The government should aim to serve the people and become a corruption-free, efficient, and professional institution. Anti-corruption is a continuous task that requires full cooperation between public and private sectors, “the nation can only be competitive with integrity, transparency, and efficiency”, “don’t be afraid to be a whistleblower and jointly create a corruption-free nation”. Reporting corruption practices is an act bravery; 24 hour anti-corruption hotline: 0800-286-586; maximum reward of NT$10 million.
