Achieving the Peak Not Conquering Mountains is the Way to Respect Them

On April 1st 2016, Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters stopped the control actions for the snow season. The park is now back to regular entrance application procedures. However, due to partial snow accumulation and frost on some sections of road, crampons, ice axes (or alpenstock), helmets, etc. should be prepared after careful assessment on the hiking plan and risks. On the other hand, climbing Holy Ride trail is very difficult and highly dangerous, and one needs to go across 1 to 2 cliffs. Therefore, a minimum of 3 people or more are required in order to apply for entrance of the access for Holy Ride trail. According to the application regulations set for different trail levels, it is necessary to bring ropes and helmets for this particular trail.

It is more important to choose a mountain that is within the scope of your abilities rather than choose one that you desire to climb. When it comes to mountains, achieving the peak, not conquering it, is the correct notion to have.
