The Datun road in Yangmingshan National Park is one of the important routes to view butterflies. To maintain plant life and give tourists a safe environment for viewing butterflies, all vehicles (including bicycles) are prohibited from entry starting from May 28^th to June 19^th, 8:00am to 3:30pm every day. Authorized vehicles are exempt from this regulation. Your understanding and cooperation is highly appreciated.

Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters encourages visitors to make use of public transportation. We suggest taking the Taipei Metro to Jiantan Station, transfering to Red 5 bus; or to Taipei Main Station and then transfer to bus 260, 1717; or to Beitou Station and then transfer to bus 230, small 9 bus, or to Shipai Station and then transfer to small 8 bus. All above buses will stop by Yangmingshan Station or Yangmingshan Terminal Station. From there, you should make another transfer by 108 bus to Erzhiping Station.

The weather can vary quite a bit in the mountains. So please remember to prepare an umbrella, jackets, and personal medicine. To enforce the eco-forest concept, please do not break flowers or trees and disturb the butterflies. Lastly, please also remember to take your garbage with you.
