Summer vacation in the mountains – Summer activities held by Guanwu Recreation Area Formosan Salamander (Hynobius formosanus) Center in the Shei-Pa National Park.
This summer, Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters will host activities such as the family story theater of puppets and natural habitat observation camp. “Family Story Theater of Puppets - Little Jiao Jiao’s New Neighbor” this year will include a picture story show created by volunteers of the park. “Walking Lightly on the Trail – Experiencing the West Branch of Dalu Forest Road” welcome all of you to immerse in the culture and nature of the trail. “Q & A with Ecosystem Experts” will be led by researchers of the park. They will offer the first hand investigative information on a special tour in the Guanwu Recreation Area. “Flowers in the Fog – Introduction of Floras along the Foggy Trail” will introduce visitors to plants in the mid-elevation cloud forest, which is also the habitat of Formosan Salamanders (Hynobius formosanus). Summer is also a good time to watch Touch-me-nots (Impatiens balsamina), an indigenous species to the Guanwu area.
