Report on development project of the eco tour industry in communities in Kenting and Taijiang National Parks

In order to vitalize the eco tour industry and increase its service quality in national parks, the Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior (CPAMI) started a pilot project in eight communities in the Kenting and Taijiang National Parks with the local industry development funds offered by the MOE in 2014. In this project, the CPAMI visited businesses in the eco tour industry and assisted with their operations such as using featured local produce to develop innovative cuisines.

In July 9th and 10th 2016, results of this pilot project were reported in the art auditorium of the Historical Site Office in Tainan cultural and creative park. This report not only showcased development results of the local eco tour industry with assistance from the government, it also helped people understand the importance of promoting local production and services that are environmentally friendly and of establishing a green supply chain. Hopefully, consumers will pick up the habit of practicing green consumption, conserving energy, and reducing carbon emissions in life.
