This year, Taroko National Park Headquarter especially selected the season of autumn harvest to combine the features of local civil groups and community resources and aid he communities in holding the themed experience events of “Taroko Short Trips”.

Between October 1st and 2nd, 2016, the “LOHAS at Luoshao” experiencing event will be held. Participants will enter Luoshao Community at Central Cross-island Highway and Taroko National Park, visit the settlements along Central Cross-island Highway, and listen to local stories of Taroko told by the second generation of the road-builders.

During this two-day event, besides traveling at the Lushui Trail of Taroko National Park and visiting the Central Cross-island Highway Story House, residents of Luoshao Community will guide visitors to enter the great sceneries within their community. The stories of the lives of the road-builders and the life experience of living in the mountains will be told by local residents. Visitors will also visit agricultural areas, experience making their own flute pipes and enjoy gourmets made out of local food materials.
