Renovations at the Taiwan Salmon Eco Center have been completed, and the center will reopen starting January 10, 2018, open every day from 9:00-12:00, and then from 13:00-17:00 in the afternoon.

Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters notes that the Taiwan Salmon Eco Center has been in operation for over a decade since its opening in 2006. Its displays, pictures, and lighting were all in great need of repair. After renovations, the Eco Center now has display boards with updated information, and a wall screen at the entrance. Guides offer tours with information about Taiwan salmon conservations strategies, actions taken, and conservation results. Other additions to the Eco Center include interactive games that allow visitors to learn more about the natural habitat and ecological knowledge of the Taiwan salmon.
