The Yushan National Park Headquarters will be holding the "Formosan Black Bear's Miasan" Picture Book Illustration Exhibition at the Shuili Visitor Center from July 6 to December 31, 2018. "Miasan" is Bunun for "home" or "hometown". The Formosan black bear is a large consumer on the top of the food chain in Taiwan's terrestrial ecosystem, and plays an important role in maintaining forest ecological functions. The bear's main habitat is in Yushan National Park, and could be seen in Dafen District, Zhuoxi Township, Hualien County. This exhibition will be displaying nearly 20 original illustrations from the picture book "Formosan Black Bear's Miasan", and welcomes student groups and the general public to visit and enjoy.
