The Taijiang National Park Project was announced and implemented on October 15, 2009. According to the provisions of Article 6 of the Enforcement Rules of the National Park Law, the Taijiang National Park Headquarters began the comprehensive overview of all operations of the National Park Project in 2014 and held ten briefing sessions. Based on the opinions and feedback of citizens, organizations, and agencies during the public exhibition period, two follow-up forum sessions (for the Xinan and Xibei areas respectively) were held, and local opinion leaders invited to discuss the handling of the feedback and to obtain consensus through discussion and exchange of views. After review and approval by the National Park Planning Committee of the Ministry of the Interior, and the approval of the Executive Yuan, the Project was announced and implemented on August 22, 2018.
