2018 Taroko Gorge Music Festival - Music in the Canyons to Celebrate the Mountain, 8000 People Watching the Canyon and Listening to Music
The 2018 Taroko Gorge Music Festival opened at the Taroko National Park Tourist Center on October 20th. From morning until dusk, seven performing groups showcased more than 40 music and dance performances, offering a wonderful music feast to the 8000 audiences from the morning and afternoon sessions. The Taroko National Park Headquarters also provided a live broadcast on the fanpage of the Taroko Gorge Music Festival, so that members of the public who could not attend had real-time access to the performances.
The lineup of this year’s Taroko Gorge Music Festival included western string ensembles as well as local Taroko, Atayal, Amis, and Hakka groups. Each performing group used musical instruments and songs with their own cultural characteristics to present their unique musical style and content, allowing the audience to experience the beauty of the cultures of different ethnic groups through distinctive cultural music performances.
