According to the Construction and Planning Agency, this event was the first in a series of activities under the 2022-2027 Wetland Conservation Departmental Cooperation Agreement. At the opening of the event, the heads of five agencies, including the Forestry Bureau of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, and the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs, read out their schemes for the World Wetlands Day, representing the spirit of joint efforts and cooperation for wetlands among the ministries and departments.

The event invited the partner agencies for wetland conservation as well as the national park headquarters of Yangmingshan, Shei-Pa, Taijiang, Kenting, and Kinmen; Marine National Park Headquarters; National Nature Park Headquarters; Kaohsiung City Government; and National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology. Activities such as the King of Wetland Knowledge - Prize Quiz, Environmental Education Point Collection, Marine Conservation Seminar, and Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park guided tours were organized to promote environmental education and showcase the achievements of wetland conservation.
