Relevant Management Regulations Revised to Maintain the Safety of the Mountain Forests and the Quality of the Recreational Environment in Shei-Pa National Park

To prevent cooking activities from harming the safety of other visitors and causing damage or impacting the natural environment of the mountain forests, the Ministry of the Interior has announced amendments to the regulations on prohibitions in the Shei-Pa National Park. Changes to the prohibitions include amending "cooking in the wild" to "cooking". Moreover, the use of portable butane gas cookers and gas stoves without authorization is explicitly banned. Cooking activities should only be carried out in the approved mountain cabins, appropriate areas around campgrounds, and legal camping areas.

To prevent visitors from occupying parking spaces reserved for designated users or parking at random, which may affect the safety of pedestrians and the quality of recreational services, the prohibition of occupying parking spaces reserved for designated users or parking outside the designated areas has been added.

The regulations related to prohibitions in the Shei-Pa National Park area have been amended to remove the restrictions on the entry time of the Dalu Forest Road East Route, Guanwu National Forest Recreation Area. Such amendments are aimed at raising public awareness of self-management through clear demarcation of responsibilities and to achieve the policy goal of moderate opening of mountain areas.
