The Construction and Planning Agency Announced the Nanwan Wharf Recreation Area of Taijiang National Park as the 18th Accessible Attraction

To meet the needs of Taiwan's aged society and people with disabilities when it comes to outdoor activities and exploring the nature and culture of national parks, the Construction and Planning Agency (CPA) is committed to building a green and friendly environment. On April 19, 2022, the CPA announced that the Nanwan Wharf Recreation Area of Taijiang National Park has been set up as the 18th accessible recreational venue.

The accessible recreational venue Nanwan Wharf Recreation Area of Taijiang National Park is located at the Nanwan Wharf in the westernmost part of the Cigu Lagoon. It is a perfect location to admire the mangrove, sunset, Dingtoue Sandbank, and Wangzailiao Sand Bar. The accessible trail extends for 200 meters, connecting the Nanwan Wharf, accessible toilets, outdoor activity plazas, recreational corridors and parking lots. Visitors can take recreational rafts around the lagoon and to the Wangzailiao Sand Bar to admire the lagoon ecology, oyster sheds, and sand bars. The venue is suitable for family visits to explore the abundant natural ecology, coastline scenery and the growth, farming and collection processes of oysters.
