2023 Kenting Coral Reef Ecology Conservation Month Activities and Tsai Yung-Chun Solo Exhibition Opening Ceremony
This year’s coral reef conservation activity series are under the theme of “Love Kenting Coral Sea.” The Kenting National Park Headquarters (KNPHQ) held the Kenting Coral Reef Ecology Conservation Month and the Tsai Yung-Chun Solo Exhibition Opening Ceremony on April 13. Marine expert Cheng Ming-Hsiu was invited to speak at the exhibition opening and to talk about his and coach Tsai Yung-Chun’s past work for marine conservation. In recognition of Mr. Tsai’s long-term dedication to marine conservation in Kenting, the KNPHQ also presented him with an award on this special day filled with heartwarming and touching moments.
In addition to the marine special exhibition, there were four live broadcasts of coral spawning planned in response to February 29 of the leap year, to be held on April 14, 15, and May 12, 13, respectively. These broadcasts will be livestreamed on the Facebook pages of the KNPHQ and the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, allowing more ocean lovers to experience this annual ocean event—coral spawning—in real time.
