Insist on Doing the Right Thing, Be a Fool Lin Yu-Chang: Join in the Efforts to Protect Taiwanese Purple Crows

The Construction and Planning Agency (CPA) organized a special screening of Lost Butterfly on May 16, in support of the first butterfly-themed documentary with widespread theatrical distribution. Minister of the Interior Lin Yu-Chang, H.E. Ambassador Robert Kennedy Lewis of Saint Lucia to Taiwan, Director Chia-Lung Chan, CPA Chief Secretary Ching-Lun Chu, and the directors of all National Park Headquarters attended the event in person. The film will officially hit cinemas across Taiwan on May 19. Everyone is invited to visit movie theaters and witness the touching story of these butterflies!

Lin Yu-Chang stated that no matter what we do, we should focus and put in the work, then we'll accomplish great feats. It took Director Chia-Lung Chan five years to film this documentary. Only someone willing to be a fool can finish such task. It is hoped that the central and local governments will carry out inter-agency cooperation with the Ministry of Education so that future generations can get the know the Taiwanese purple crow butterfly (Euploea tulliolus), an endemic species unique to Taiwan.

Lin Yu-Chang mentioned that as National Parks get elevated in rank in the future, they will have to shoulder new missions and responsibilities, invest greater efforts, and make more accomplishments.
