The Taroko National Park Headquarters has invited Professor Chuang Po-Hsien, a Taiwanese ink wash painter, to co-organize “A Wondrous Encounter in Eastern Taiwan’s Taroko: Chuang Po-Hsien Ink Wash Painting Exhibition." The exhibition will take place from June 30 to August 28, 2023, at the special exhibition room (basement level) of the Taroko National Park Visitor Center.

Professor Chuang has visited Taroko in Hualien numerous times to experience its natural and cultural charm. He drew inspiration from its landscapes and applied his creativity to depict the beautiful mountain ranges and atmospheric cloudy mists of Taroko spanning the Suao and Hualien regions, as well as the stunning unhindered view of the blue sea. The profoundly magnificent and serene sceneries, as well as the rich, radiant brushwork techniques used in his 34 B1-size masterpieces, differ from those of the past. Through his "eagle eye," the scenic representation is truly breathtaking.
